LONDON (Alliance News) - Silence Therapeutics PLC said Wednesday it expects to raise a total of GBP38.9 million after expenses from its share placing, after it raised GBP12.7 million in addition to the GBP27.3 million garnered last Thursday.
Canaccord Genuity Ltd and Peel Hunt LLP exercised their option to conditionally place a further 5.3 million shares at a price of 240 pence per share, Silence said.
Shares are trading down 0.4% at 263.00 pence late Wednesday morning.
Last Thursday the company said it plans to use the funds from the placing to develop its RNA platform.
