LONDON (Alliance News) - Silence Therapeutics PLC Tuesday said its chief operating officer is to leave the company with immediate effect due to family commitments.
Annie Cheng resigned from the board of the AIM-listed biotechnology company with immediate effect on Tuesday and will move back to New York early next year.
"Annie has made a valuable contribution to our strategic direction. She will work closely with the company over the coming months, with a view to a consulting role when she is back in the US," said Silence Therapeutics Chief Executive Ali Mortazavi.
The company didn't say whether or not Cheng would be replaced.
Silence Therapeutics shares were down 1.8% to 207.637 pence on Tuesday.
