Sigma Capital Launches Second Phase Of Gatehouse Project

9th Dec 2015 09:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sigma Capital Group PLC on Wednesday said it has launched the second phase of its private rented sector project with Gatehouse Bank PLC in the north west of England.

The new phase, which will be located in the Greater Manchester and Greater Liverpool area, will deliver around 900 new rented homes across ten sites at a total development cost of GBP114.0 million.

Sigma added it is currently in the process of identifying other sites in the UK, including in the Midlands and the south of England, for further phases of the programme.

"Today's announcement reinforces Sigma and its partners' position at the forefront of private rental housing development in the UK," said Graham Barnet, Sigma's chief executive.

"Together with our partners, we will be delivering a further 900 high-quality family homes across Greater Manchester and Greater Liverpool. Our efforts to increase the supply of rental housing and assist with the regeneration of these areas will serve to increase the appeal of the Northern Powerhouse, making it an even more attractive place for UK workers to live with their families," he added.

Shares in Sigma were untraded on Wednesday morning, having last traded at 76.00 pence.
