SIG CEO Meinie Oldersma Takes Leave Of Absence Due To Family Illness

(Alliance News) - SIG PLC on Wednesday said Chief Executive Meinie Oldersma has taken leave of absence due to a family illness.

The building materials supplier said it expects Oldersma to be out for "a number of weeks". During that time, the company will be jointly run by members of the executive team led by Chief Financial Officer Nick Maddock and supported by Non-Executive Chair Andrew Allner.

Separately, SIG said Non-Executive Director Andrea Abt will be stepping down on February 12 after five years on the board.

Shares in SIG were down 1.7% on Thursday morning in London at 121.40 pence.
