(Alliance News) - Shoe Zone PLC on Friday said it has hired 25-year footwear industry veteran Peter Foot as finance director, effective from July 6, following Jonathan Fearn's resignation.
The Leicester-based retailer said Fearn's resignation is effective from July 31, after four years on the job, while Foot will join the board once due diligence checks are done.
Chief Executive Anthony Smith said Foot's financial and leadership experience from over 25 years in the footwear sector will ensure he is well placed to run the finance team at Shoe Zone.
Shoe Zone's shares were up 2.6% at 80.00 pence on Friday morning in London.
