(Alliance News) - Shearwater Group PLC said Wednesday that its subsidiary Brookcourt Solutions has secured a EUR500,000 contract extension with a "leading multinational telecommunications company" for a data protection project.
The cyber security software company said the new contract extends Brookcourt's original EUR4.0 million contract win 18 months ago. The company was commissioned to deliver data protection capability that enabled customer to achieve the General Data Protection Regulation and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliancy.
Under the terms of the new contract, Brookcourt will ensure that the data protection platform delivered is transitioned into the customer's operational teams, which are located both in the UK and Northern Europe.
Phil Higgins, chief executive officer, said: "The opportunity to deploy a data security platform across the UK and Northern Europe is a good example of how we can leverage a combination of our technologies, services and solutions to provide an enhanced data protection environment for the customer and overall service experience."
Shearwater shares were up 1.9% in London at 253.90 pence each on Wednesday.
