(Alliance News) - Shares in Peel Hunt Ltd rose slightly on Wednesday morning as the broker made its long-awaited market debut on AIM.
Last week, Peel Hunt priced its initial public offering at 228 pence, giving the company a market capitalisation of GBP280 million on admission. In April, Sky News had reported the firm was targeting a GBP350 million valuation, citing "insiders".
The stock was quoted at 233.50 pence on Wednesday morning, up 2.4% from its IPO price.
Founded in 1989, Peel Hunt provides corporate broking and advisory research, sales and trading in London's small- and mid-cap stocks. It counts JD Sports as a corporate client.
