LONDON (Alliance News) - Share PLC said Tuesday its subsidiary the Share Centre Ltd sold 25,727 shares in London Stock Exchange Group PLC for proceeds of GBP699,586.
It will use the proceeds of the sale, conducted on Thursday last week, to strengthen its balance sheet, Share said.
Share retains 120,000 shares in London Stock Exchange, and said it continues to hold these shares as a strategic investment, as it serves retail investors who play a key role in the market. London Stock Exchange has 348.5 million shares in issue.
Shares in Share PLC were up 1.5% at 27.90 pence Tuesday, whilst London Stock Exchange Group was up 4.9% at 2,401.00 pence.
