LONDON (Alliance News) - Structural steel group Severfield-Rowen PLC Tuesday said it is considering a name change to Severfield PLC, after analysing its brand strength in its various markets.
The firm said it believes the rebrand will create a more "easily understood and effective proposition for the company for all its stakeholders and customers".
Earlier this year the firm said it had been trading in line with expectations despite a difficult period for its Indian arm JSW Severfield Structures Ltd. In February Severfield said Indian market conditions continue to be difficult and are not expected to improve until at least after the general elections in May.
Severfield-Rowen expects to update shareholders on the rebranding exercise when it publishes its full year results on June 3.
The stock was trading at 60.40 pence Tuesday, up 0.28 pence or 0.5%.
