(Alliance News) - Carnival PLC on Friday said that several of its brands have cancelled or paused several cruises for the start of 2021.
Holland America Line has extended its pause of cruise operations for all departures through March 31, 2021, as it continues to prepare and develop plans to meet the Framework for Conditional Sailing Order issued by the US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
The line will also cancel select longer voyages, and cruises of eight days or longer that call in the US until November 1, 2021.
For the same reason, Princess Cruises has also extended its pause for all cruises sailing through March 31, 2021. All cruises longer than seven days sailing in and out of US ports through the start of November 2021.
In addition, due to uncertainty over international travel restrictions, Princess Cruises is also extending its pause in operations for cruises departing in and out of Japan through June 25.
Also, Seabourn has cancelled cruises on Seabourn Odyssey from January 26 to November 5, 2021, while voyages longer than seven days and calling on a US port by Seabourn Quest has been cancelled from July 22 to November 6, 2021.
Shares in the cruise line operator closed down 0.8% at 1,163.00 pence on Friday in London and are down 4.5% at USD17.36 in New York.
