LONDON (Alliance News) - Servelec Group PLC said Wednesday that its Servelec Controls division - a part of Servelec Automation - and its Servelec Healthcare business have been awarded new projects.
The firm said Servelec Controls has been awarded a project valued at over GBP1 million, to provide an updated Production Control System for a combined heat and power plant that is set to be relocated from the UK to Turkey.
The project involves replacing the control system hardware and software with a modern equivalent said the firm, and will be implemented during 2014 and will be followed by a Time and Materials contract for the on-site commissioning as the plant re-starts.
Servelec Healthcare has also been notified of the award of preferred supplier status by the eighth NHS Trust to announce their choice of software provider for Mental Health or Community Health services under the Camden Framework.
The business has now been selected by eight out of nine of the NHS Trusts which have selected their preferred supplier using the Camden Framework, it said.
The Camden Framework is the main mechanism by which Trusts currently running RiO - and Electronic Patient Record system - under the British Telecom Local Service Provider contract can exit from the National Programme in London and the South of England, providing each organisation with the ability to choose their supplier.
Shares in Servelec were trading marginally higher Wednesday morning, up 0.74% at 256.25 pence per share.
