Servelec First Half Trading In Line With Progress Across Divisions

16th Jul 2015 08:57

LONDON (Alliance News) - Software, hardware and services provider Servelec Group PLC on Thursday said trading in the first half of 2015 was in line with its expectations, with good progress made in its health and social care and automation divisions.

The health and social care arm has continued to make good progress, the company said, with further contract wins secured over the course of the half and increased opportunities related to its Flow hospital bed management product, which it took on following the acquisition of Aura Healthcare.

In the automation arm, Servelec said trading is stronger year-on-year and it expects to win further contracts in the second half, though the good trading has been partially offset by reduced orders in the controls business.

"We are pleased with progress made in the first half of the year which demonstrates the advantage of our diversified business model. Recent order entry across the group gives us confidence for the full year and the overall outlook for the business," said Alan Stubbs, Servelec's chief executive.

Shares in Servelec were up 2.4% to 304.6 pence on Thursday.
