LONDON (Alliance News) - Servelec Group PLC Monday said it has appointed Andrew Mills to take up the role of managing director of Servelec Control's oil and gas unit to focus on developing existing and new clients relationships.
Servelec provides a variety of software and services to numerous different markets such as health and social care, transport and broadcast industries and one of its three divisions, Servelec Controls, helps large energy companies to automate their processes, improve safety and streamline their operations.
Mills has joined the company with immediate effect, leaving his role at engineering services consultancy business Assystem after around 13 years of service when he managed five UK sites.
Servelec is hoping his experience within the oil and gas sector will help the business develop new and existing client relationships.
"Whilst conditions in the oil and gas industry remain challenging, Servelec is committed to continuing to help our customers in this industry to reduce operating expenditure on brownfield sites as well as driving our business forward in this area," said Chief Executive Alan Stubbs.
"Andrew's experience will further strengthen our position in this space and provide valuable external insight into how we can continue to deliver growth in Servelec Controls," he added.
Mills will be taking over from Kevan Jones, who will retire after a handover period following six years with the London-listed company.
The other unit within Servelec Controls apart from oil and gas supplies services and products to power generation and nuclear firms. Servelec Technologies provides services to the transport, waste and water sectors. Both sit alongside the larger health and social care unit.
