Serinus Says Romania, Tunisia Operations Feeling No Virus Pain Yet

(Alliance News) - Serinus Energy PLC on Friday said its operations in Romania and Tunisia are yet to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Operations in its Sabria field in Tunisia are continuing as normal while at Moftinu in Romania, a gas project which came into production back in April 2019, output there is as expected.

Serinus said: "The company's producing operations across Romania and Tunisia have not been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. In response to the outbreak, the company has instituted increased health monitoring of operations staff in both Romania and Tunisia and increased cleaning and disinfecting of operational workstations and staff hygiene protocols."

Serinus added that it has begun talks with its lender the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to assess the impact of the virus and what options the company has.

Serinus shares were untraded at 8.50 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
