Serica Energy Says Full Production Resumed At Erskine Field

6th Sep 2016 09:17

LONDON (Alliance News) - Serica Energy PLC on Tuesday said oil and gas production from the Erskine field in the North Sea resumed last week after issues involving the re-commissioning of the Lomond export facilities were resolved.

In August, Royal Dutch Shell PLC, the operator of the field, in which Serica owns an 18% stake, warned continuous production from the field may take longer to achieve due to problems faced with a blocked pipeline.

Those issues have been resolved, and Serica said the field has been producing an average of over 3,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day net to Serica since restarting.

Serica shares were up 4.9% to 15.74 pence on Tuesday.
