Serica backs production guidance following oil lifting at Triton FPSO

22nd Aug 2025 09:42

(Alliance News) - Serica Energy PLC on Friday reported the first lifting of oil at the Triton Floating Production Storage & Offloading unit since the resumption of production in July.

The North Sea-focused oil and gas producer suspended production at the FPSO back in January, following issues resulting from Storm Eowyn.

On Friday, Serica Energy said that since resuming production, activity is continuing to ramp up in line with its expectations.

Production restarted at certain wells on the Bittern field, said Serica, with wells on the Evelyn,

Gannet E and Guillemot West fields also coming online.

Serica noted that production in the past fortnight has averaged 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day net to the company, with this figure expected to increase as further wells come back onstream.

It noted that new wells drilled on the Evelyn and Guillemot North West fields are scheduled to be brought onstream for the first time.

The company added that total portfolio production reached over 50,000 boepd on average in the days ahead of production ramping down at the Bruce Hub for the annual maintenance period. This period commenced on Saturday last week, and is set to run for around 12 days.

Looking ahead, Serica backed its production guidance for the year of between 33,000 boepd and 35,000 boepd. This compares with 34,600 boepd realised in 2024.

Shares in Serica Energy rose 1.6% to 173.18 pence on Friday morning in London.
