(Alliance News) - Serco Group PLC on Thursday said Senior Independent Director John Rishton will succeed Roy Gardner as chair of the public services provider.
Gardner had informed the FTSE 250-listed company of his intention to stand down from the board earlier this year.
Rishton, who has been on Serco's board since September 2016, will assume the role of chair when Gardner stands down at the annual general meeting in Spring 2021. Rishton formerly served as chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC from 2011 to 2015.
The stock was up 0.9% at 128.40 pence on Thursday morning.
