LONDON (Alliance News) - Outsourcer Serco Group PLC on Thursday said it has been unsuccessful in its bid to operate the Clyde & Hebrides Ferries Services in Scotland.
The contract has been awarded, by Transport Scotland, to Caledonian MacBrayne, known as CalMac, which already operates passenger and vehicle ferries in Scotland.
The contract is worth around GBP900.0 million over eight years.
Serco said this will cut its new bid opportunities pipeline to GBP5.6 billion from GBP6.5 billion but will not affect existing guidance.
Serco shares were down 0.5% to 92.55 pence following the announcement Thursday.
