LONDON (Alliance News) - Outsourcing firm Serco PLC on Thursday said Senior Independent Director Mike Clasper will be stepping down from the board at the end of 2018.
John Rishton, a current non-executive director, will take up the role in his stead.
Rishton is a former chief executive of aero engine manufacturer Rolls Royce Holdings PLC, and he is also currently in non-executive roles on the boards of consumer goods firm Unilever PLC and publishing company Informa PLC.
Serco's Non-Executive Chairman Roy Gardner said: "I would like to thank Mike personally for his support as the senior independent director and, on behalf of the board, for the extensive contribution he has made to the company since joining in early 2014, a period during which Serco has seen substantial change."
Gardner added: "I would also like to welcome John Rishton to the role of senior independent director, a position for which his considerable experience makes him well suited."
Shares were 1.9% higher on Thursday at a price of 91.35 pence each.
