(Alliance News) - Senior PLC on Tuesday said its Aerospace Division has secured an extension with Germany's MTU Aero Engines AG for the supply of Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engines airfoils.
The FTSE 250-listed aerospace and defence components manufacturer said the ten-year extension - which is a dual source arrangement from Senior Aerospace Thailand and Senior Aerospace Weston - is expected to contribute additional sales revenue of around USD330 million.
"Senior Aerospace has proven to be a reliable supplier and partner for MTU Aero Engines during the recent years, especially based on their excellent technical capabilities as well as their exceptional customer orientation. This strong and trustful partnership created the basis for the newly extended contract period up to 2031, enabling Senior Aerospace to perform a forward-looking long-term planning in order to support our most important engine programs," said Uwe Bohm, senior vice president of procurement & logistics of Senior.
Shares in Senior were trading 2.8% higher at 62.40 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
