20th May 2025 09:48

(Alliance News) - Senior PLC on Tuesday announced two new multi-year contracts for the supply of high technology components for internal combustion engine and hybrid powertrains.

The Hertfordshire, England-based engineering firm said the first contract is for the supply of fluid conveyance assemblies for multiple light vehicle ICE and hybrid engine types to an unnamed global supplier of hybrid and combustion powertrain solutions.

Production is expected to start this year and continue until 2029. Manufacturing will be in the Czech Republic and in Wuhan in China.

The second contract is with an unnamed global manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks to supply fluid conveyance assemblies for exhaust gas recirculation coolers for a new engine type to be used on multiple vehicle platforms. Manufacturing will take place in the Czech Republic, in Cape Town in South Africa and in Saltillo in Mexico. Production is expected to start in the final quarter of 2026 and to run for at least eight years.

Both contracts will have manufacturing be undertaken in Senior Flexonics facilities. Senior Flexonics is a Senior business focused on designing, developing and manufacturing thermal management solutions for combustion, hybrid and electric drivetrains.

The contracts have a total value of EUR200 million over an eight-year period.

Senior Chief Executive Officer David Squires said: "These new contract wins continue the strong recent momentum across the group, with significant new order intake across both our Flexonics and Aerospace divisions. The strength of our order book, combined with our leading positions in high-technology fluid conveyance and thermal management applications underpins our confidence for continued growth in 2025 and beyond".

Senior shares rose 1.7% to 163.80 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
