LONDON (Alliance News) - Seeing Machines Ltd on Monday said it has secured an order for its DSS hardware from a new mining client in Zambia worth USD1.1 million.
Seeing Machines, which provides operator monitoring and intervention sensing technologies and services, said it has been courting potential clients in Zambia for over two years and has now signed a deal with one of the country's top miners, which it did not name.
"A lot of effort has gone into developing the mining business both globally and in Africa, and it's great to see progress. It strongly demonstrates the viability of DSS business in Africa, and we look forward to working with both the region's Caterpillar dealer and Caterpillar Safety Services to extend the reach to more customers and to help keep their workers safe," said Chief Executive Ken Kroeger.
