Seeing Machines To Install Guardian Into Bison Transport's Truck Fleet

25th Oct 2019 11:48

(Alliance News) - Computer vision technology firm Seeing Machines Ltd said Friday it has signed a contract with Canadian logistics-focused transport firm Bison Transport Inc, for the installation of the Guardian software into its fleet.

Guardian is a driver fatigue and distraction monitoring system, which helps to prevent accidents.

Under the deal, Seeing Machines will install the Guardian system into around 120 Bison trucks with immediate effect.

"We have done significant work to clearly articulate the value proposition for Guardian in North America. Having Bison Transport as a customer affirms our view that fleets who have a culture of safety truly value Guardian as a way to improve that culture and keep their drivers safe," said Mike Lenne, senior vice president for Fleet & Human Factors.

"North America represents a massive opportunity for the Guardian technology and the deal with Bison validates our revised approach with hardware pricing and service provision," Lenne added.

Shares in Seeing Machines were down 0.5% at 4.60 pence on Friday in London.
