5th Jul 2018 09:45

LONDON (Alliance News) - Driver monitoring technology firm Seeing Machines Ltd said Thursday it has signed a five-year contract with US-based John Christner Trucking to install its Guardian system to its fleet of 850 trucks.

"We are delighted to be working with John Christner Trucking," Seeing Machines Fleet, Rail & Off-Road General Manager Paul Angelatos said. "Adoption of Guardian, our fatigue and distraction prevention technology, is building momentum worldwide and this agreement further strengthens our position as a leading provider of transport safety technology."

"This family owned and run business truly focuses on driver safety and we are very pleased to be able to contribute to ensuring that their drivers get home to their families at the end of each shift", Angelatos added.

The five year contract will lead to Seeing Machines installing its fatigue and distraction prevention technology to all of the John Christner Trucking refrigeration fleet. No financial details were specified.

Seeing Machines added the contract follows other recent contracts in North America, these include Megabus Coach USA, Royal Foods and Bison Transport.

Shares in Seeing Machines were 1.5% higher at 11.80 pence on Thursday, having more than tripled over the last year.
