LONDON (Alliance News) - Seeing Machines Ltd Monday launched a new safety product to help drivers of fleet vehicles avoid incidents in the US, called Seeing Machines Fleet.
The technology tracks drivers eyes and facial movements to help detect and prevent driver fatigue and distractions. It is currently being used by mining, road transport and bus customers in Europe, Australia and South Africa.
"Unlike competitors' passive recording technology that is used for post-event analysis and driver coaching, our technology assists operators and truck drivers in avoiding accidents in the first place. This has helped our customers reduce fatigue and distraction related incidents - helping keep people, cargo and equipment safe as well as increasing efficiency, productivity and profitability," said Chief Executive Officer Ken Kroeger in a statement.
Shares in the company are trading up 3.6% at 5.70 pence Monday morning.
