LONDON (Alliance News) - Seeing Machines Ltd said Wednesday it has received its first order for 750 units of its new Seeing Machines Fleet product, which provides drivers and supervisors with real-time notification when drivers are fatigued or distracted.
The order has been received from its distributor Insurance Underwriting Managers in South Africa. The order will be delivered during June, Seeing Machines said. The value of the order was not disclosed.
It launched the Fleet product in the US in late April, and said it is now following through on "the larger number of positive sales leads generated".
Seeing Machines also detailed its progress in other market segments; in Aviation the company's eye tracking technology that it developed with Boeing Research & Technology Australia has recently been installed in a Boeing Flight Services 737 Flight Simulator at the Brisbane International Airport.
In the Automotive market, it is continuing to work with Takata Corp to integrated its technology into passenger cars.
The company said it has made continued progress in other target markets, working with partner Electro-Motive Diesel Inc for a product for the rail industry, and with Samsung Electro-Mechanics Corp for a face and eye tracking technology for the consumer electronics industry.
Shares in Seeing Machines are trading up 5.1% at 4.60 pence Wednesday.
