(Alliance News) - Securities Trust of Scotland PLC said Thursday its net asset value rose in the first half due to strong returns from equity markets around the world.
The investment trust said net asset value per share for the six months to September 30 was 203.88 pence compared to 187.11p at the same time a year ago. The net asset value total return was 12.3%, compared to 11.1%.
Securities Trust of Scotland declared an unchanged dividend of 2.90p.
John Evans, chair of the company, said: "The six-month period under review has seen strong returns from equity markets around the world despite some considerable uncertainty and apparent threats to economic growth."
Securities Trust of Scotland shares were down 0.5% in London at 196.54 pence each on Thursday.
