(Alliance News) - Dekel Agri-Vision PLC on Wednesday said the second milling equipment shipment for its Tiebissou cashew processing project in the Ivory Coast has now left Italy.
The shipment of 12 containers is set to arrive at the Ivory Coast's port of Abidjan in around four weeks and is the second of four set to be dispatched from Italy. The final two shipments are likely to be shipped and delivered to the Ivory Coast "in the coming months" with more updates to follow.
The milling equipment delivery comes under a turnkey contract signed between Dekel and UK-based engineering company Overseas Projects & Services Ltd, a related entity of Oltremare Srl. The contracts covers the engineering, manufacture, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the cashew project.
Tiebissou is set to become Dekel's second producing project, alongside its established palm oil operation at Ayenouan - also in the Ivory Coast - once it becomes operational. This is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2021.
Shares in west Africa-focused agro-industrial company Dekel were up 2.4% at 2.10 pence in London on Wednesday morning.
