Walters has been chief financial officer on an interim basis since June 2017, following the leave of absence by Dominic Lavelle due to medical conditions. Walters will now take on the role permanently following Lavelle's decision to step down last Thursday.
Walters has been a part of SDL since August 2016, being a part of the group's Fredhopper business for eight months as chief financial officer to March 2017, and prior to that she was finance director at Frank Recruitment Group for a year from July 2015 to June 2016.
"We are delighted to welcome Xenia to the Board and look forward to working with her as we drive forward and execute SDL's transformation plan," said Chief Executive Adolfo Hernandez.
