SDCL Energy Efficiency To Seek Shareholder Backing For Policy Change

28th Feb 2020 16:07

(Alliance News) - SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust PLC on Friday said it will seek approval from shareholders during a March meeting to change its investment policy.

SDCL's current policy states 25% of its investments must be UK-based. The energy efficiency sector-focused investment trust will propose removing the minimum exposure floor.

SDCL explained: "The removal of the limit would ensure that the company can benefit from additional flexibility when sourcing and investing in projects with attractive risk-adjusted returns across multiple jurisdictions. The board believes this increased flexibility to be in the best interests of shareholders."

An extraordinary general meeting will be held on March 18.

Shares in the company were down 2.5% at 107.22 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
