LONDON (Alliance News) - The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust PLC Tuesday said its net asset value rose in the last quarter, and outperformed its benchmark.
The investment company said its net asset value rose by 7.6% over the four months to June 30 to 844.42 pence, compared with 785.09 pence as at February 28. The company's NAV outperformed its benchmarks - the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Index and the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Small Cap Index - which rose 6.2% and 4.3%, respectively.
The company's share price rose 9.6% in the period to 822.00 pence, compared with 750.00 pence the prior period.
The company's stock was trading 0.3% higher Tuesday morning at 840.60 pence.
