LONDON (Alliance News) - The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust PLC Thursday said its net asset value rose 1.4% during the four months to end-December, outperforming one benchmark and underperforming the other.
In a statement, the investor in small Asian quoted companies with market capitalisations of less than USD1.5 billion said the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Index had risen 1.9% over the period, while the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Small Cap Index rose 1.2%.
It said it had increased its exposure to India to 19.3% of net asset value during the period, from 13.4%.
The trust's shares were up 0.2% at 756.52 pence Thursday morning.
