LONDON (Alliance News) - Scotgold Resources Ltd Wednesday said it has promoted Nathaniel le Roux to become the company's new chairman.
Le Roux has been a non-executive at the company since October and is the former chief executive of IG Group PLC. He currently is semi-retired and an independent director of the London Metal Exchange, said the company.
Le Roux currently holds a 40% stake in Scotgold.
"It is a significant benefit to the company that such an ardent supporter should take on the role of chairman, and we welcome his experience and insight in taking Cononish into production at the earliest opportunity," said Managing Director Richard Gray.
Scotgold shares were up 2.9% to 0.772 pence per share on Wednesday afternoon.
