(Alliance News) - Scotgold Resources Ltd said Thursday it has appointed Ian Proctor as a non-executive director at the Scotland-focused gold mining firm with immediate effect.
Proctor is currently the chief executive at Sky Betting & Gaming, a unit of Toronto-listed Stars Group Inc. Previously he served as finance chief at SB&G for over ten years, during which time he played a key role in the buyout of the firm from Sky PLC.
Scotgold Chair Nat le Roux said he was "delighted" Proctor would join the firm.
"His wealth of experience as a finance professional not only enhances the breadth of experience available to the board, but being Stirling, Scotland based, his proximity to the operations means that our executive accounting function can also benefit", le Roux added.
Shares in Scotgold were 3.6% lower at 35.20 pence in London on Thursday.
