LONDON (Alliance News) - SCISYS PLC Monday said it has won a contract extension from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to continue supplying System and Information system management for its Shannon class lifeboat.
The software systems supplier said the extension of the deal, worth around GBP1 million, adds another 12 boats to the 11 boats in the original contract and will be supplied over two years. The extension will commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
"The RNLI SIMS contract is a good example of SCISYS working in partnership with a customer to bring value at the core of their business. The Shannon class lifeboat is hailed as a step change in lifeboating and SCISYS is proud to be part of such a high profile and successful programme," said SCISYS Chief Executive Officer Klaus Heidrich.
