LONDON (Alliance News) - Savannah Resources PLC on Monday said it has received positive results from the versatile time domain electromagnetic survey conducted on the Block 4 copper project in Oman.
Savannah said the results of the survey identified multiple high-priority drill targets to previously-producing copper mines. Seven areas with high concentrations of priority one and two anomalies or indicators were modelled in the survey, it said.
Field operations are currently underway to fast-track towards drilling at the project, with this work expected to start by the end of September 2015.
"These early results continue to underscore the joint venture's strategy that through the application of systematic exploration an excellent opportunity exists in Oman to build a significant mid-tier copper producer around the development of a set of satellite deposits utilising a central processing facility," said David Archer, Savannah's chief executive.
