LONDON (Alliance News) - Software and IT services company Sanderson Group PLC on Wednesday said it expects to record revenue and profit growth in the first half of its financial year and said its order book looks robust going into the second half.
Sanderson said it expects revenue in the first half to the end of March to be up to GBP9 million, from GBP8 million a year earlier, with sales order intake rising to GBP4.9 million from GBP4.3 million on the back of good demand from its existing customer base.
Its order book at the end of March was GBP2.8 million, compared to GBP2.5 million a year earlier, while pre-contracted recurring revenue continues to contribute more than half its total sales.
The group retail-focused business was boosted by the growth of mobile commerce and e-commerce, while its manufacturing division's revenue was flat year-on-year.
It said there are signs of an improving economic environment, but said sales cycles continued to be slow.
Sanderson said it is retaining a cautious approach but said its robust order book and good sales opportunities provide confidence it will meet market expectations for the full year.
