Sanderson Confident For Further Progress On Strong First Half

23rd Apr 2014 11:14

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sanderson Group PLC expressed confidence that it would continue to make "further significant progress" in the full year, as it said in a pre-close update Wednesday that it had seen revenue rise in the half year to end-March.

The software and IT services company said it will post revenues of GBP7.9 million in the six months to March 31, compared to GBP6.4 million a year before.

Pre-contracted recurring revenues rose to GBP4.41 million from GBP3.96 million in the previous year.

At the end of the half year, Sanderson said it had an order book of over GBP2.5 million, compared to GBP1.6 million a year before, as it saw strong sales order intake from existing and new customers, it said.

Operating profit was up to GBP1.2 million from GBP988,000, Sanderson said.

Catan Marketing Ltd, which Sanderson acquired in August 2013, made a positive contribution during the period, Sanderson said. It also acquired One iota Ltd in October 2013, which has made a good start as part of the business, it said.

Sanderson had cash of just over GBP5 million, compared to GBP4.5 million in the previous year, which it said would allow it continue its progressive dividend policy.

The company said it plans to release its full half-year results on June 9.

Shares in Sanderson were trading up 5.4% at 71.40 pence Wednesday morning.
