Salt Lake Potash Gets Positive Evaporation Trial Results At Lake Way

29th Jan 2019 17:02

LONDON (Alliance News) - Salt Lake Potash Ltd said Tuesday it produced over 2 tonnes of high grade harvest salts at Lake Way, Australia, during site evaporation trials.

"The initial salt harvest from the Lake Way SET is a significant milestone. It validates our production model and allows us to refine the process parameters for plant design, as well as providing feed for the pilot plant," Chief Executive Officer Tony Swiericzuk said.

A major component of the feasibility study process for the project is to develop a brine evaporation and salt production model based on the brine chemistry of both Lake Way playa and Williamson Pit brines under local environmental evaporation conditions.

Looking ahead, the company expects a further 5 tonnes of salts to be harvested during ongoing evaporation trials.

Salt Lake Potash shares closed up 3.4% at 24.50 pence each on Tuesday.
