Salt Lake Appoints Northern Star Resources Executive As Finance Chief

(Alliance News) - Salt Lake Potash Ltd said Wednesday it has appointed several executives ahead of the development of the Lake Way project in Australia, including appointment of Shaun Day as chief financial officer.

Day will be joining from Australian gold producer Northern Star Resources Ltd, where he was chief financial officer for five years since 2014. Prior to that, he was also finance chief at thermal coal miner Sakari Resources Ltd for eight years from 2006 to 2014.

Other appointments include Rowena Roberts as director for People, Culture, Heritage & Community.

Roberts will be responsible for overseeing human resources, heritage and community relations functions. She has joined from Fortescue Metals Group, where she was people manager for five years since 2014.

Finally, Salt Lake has appointed Mark Wilde as director for Sales & Marketing. His most recent role was as global sales director, for the Sulphate of Potash business unit for Belgium-based industrial group Tessenderlo.

"It is an exciting time for Salt Lake Potash and I am extremely pleased we have been able to recruit another three high calibre executives who are all experts in their respective fields. We are rapidly developing the Lake Way project and these most recent appointments complement the existing team and enable the company to further progress the key areas of financing, people and marketing," said Chief Executive Officer Tony Swiericzuk.

Shares in Salt Lake Potash were down 0.6% at 43.75 pence on Wednesday.
