Safestyle Says "Exceptional" Order Intake To Moderate In Second Half

19th May 2016 08:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Window and door replacement company Safestyle UK PLC on Thursday said its order intake had been at "exceptional levels" for the first four months of the year, but noted this growth is expected to moderate in the second half.

Safestyle Chairman Steve Halbert said in a statement to be made at the company's annual general meeting on Thursday that the company's new financial year has begun "very well".

Order intake for the first four months of 2016 was 24% ahead of the same period a year earlier, and ahead of its expectations, Halbert said. This is due to "a number of factors, including a wider product range that represents excellent value, investment in our brand and the continued success of our market leading promotional finance," Halbert said.

Halbert noted that the comparators for the second half of the year will take into account Safestyle's enhanced promotional finance offer that was introduced in June 2015 and which had a "significant positive impact" on second half trading. As such, Halbert said growth in order take is expected to moderate in the second half from the current "exceptional" levels.

"The strong growth in our order intake to date makes the board confident that the group will deliver excellent results for 2016," said Halbert.

Shares in Safestyle were up 5.9% at 280.75 pence on Thursday morning.
