LONDON (Alliance News) - Sacoil Holdings Ltd Tuesday said it has appointed Thabo Kgogo as chief executive officer with effect from June 1.
The African oil & gas company said Roger Rees, its acting chief executive officer, will step down from his position on the same date.
The company said Kgogo was responsible for South Africa's national oil company PetroSA's integrated operations, which included offshore production wells and platforms, a gas-to-liquid refinery,and as shipping and aviation services.
"We are delighted that Thabo has agreed to join the company. His experience in the oil and gas industry will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow the business and engage new opportunities that exist throughout Africa," Sacoil Chairman Tito Mboweni said in a statement.
Sacoil shares were down 0.5% to 3.11 pence Tuesday.
