(Alliance News) - Sabre Insurance Group PLC on Wednesday said it has chosen its senior independent director, Andy Pomfret, as its new chair effective September 1.
Pomfret succeeds outgoing chair Patrick Snowball, who advised the board in early 2020 to start searching for his replacement. Snowball will step down from the Dorking, Surrey-based motor insurance company's board on September 1 as Pomfret takes over the role.
New chair Pomfret was chief executive at Rathbone Brothers from 2004 to 2014 and is presently chair of Miton UK MicroCap Trust PLC. He is also a non-executive director at Sanne Group PLC as well as Aberdeen New Thai Investment Trust PLC.
Rebecca Shelley, who has been on Sabre's board as a non-executive director since October 2017, has been appointed senior independent director.
Shares in Sabre were 0.7% lower at 271.90 pence on Wednesday morning.
