(Alliance News) - Advertising company S4 Capital PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Naoko Okumoto and Margaret Ma Connolly to its board as non-executive directors, with immediate effect.
Okumoto is chief executive officer & managing partner of Amber Bridge Partners, an investment and consulting firm specialising in cross-border business development, investment and operations between the US and Asia-Pacific. She also is a partner & executive adviser at blockchain-focused fund Z Corp. She previously was executive vice president at CoinDesk Japan, a news site specializing in bitcoin and digital currencies.
Connolly is CEO of Informa Markets, which is the exhibitions, content and data solutions arm of events and publishing company Informa PLC. She previously served as general manager of TNT Express Worldwide.
Martin Sorrell, executive chairman of S4 Capital and former head of WPP PLC, commented: "Naoko and Margaret bring years of experience in strategic international business development, investment and portfolio management with a focus on fast-growing digital businesses operating at the critical nexus of business between North America and Asia Pacific."
S4 Capital shares were up 0.8% at 183.38 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
Separately Tuesday, S4 Capital said it has agreed to issue 793,485 shares in consideration for its purchase of Datalicious Korea. S4 Capital announced the acquisition of the South Korea-based data and analytics consultancy back in October. It will be integrated into its MightyHive division.
At the time, S4 Capital didn't provide the acquisition pride for Datalicious Korea. However, the consideration share total announced Tuesday is worth about GBP1.5 million.
