S&P's Downgrades Long-term Counterparty Credit Rating Of RBS To BBB+

LONDON (Alliance News) - Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC (RBS, RBS.L) said that Standard & Poor's Rating Services or "S&P's" downgrades the long-term counterparty credit rating of RBS and certain of its subsidiaries by one notch to BBB+ from A-.

S&P's also downgrades the long-term counterparty credit rating of Ulster Bank Limited and Ulster Bank Ireland Limited by one notch to BBB from BBB+.

S&P's affirms the short-term rating of RBS and certain of its subsidiaries at A-2; and moves the ratings of RBS and certain of its subsidiaries to Outlook Stable from Credit Watch Negative.
