Ryanair To Open New Bucharest Base, With More Aircraft And Routes

LONDON (Alliance News) - Irish budget carrier Ryanair Holdings PLC on Tuesday said it will open a new base at Bucharest Airport in Romania in October, with new aircraft and routes to be flown.

Ryanair will base three new aircraft at the airport, at an investment of around USD300.0 million, and will add new routes to Greek capital Athens and Timisoara in western Romania. In addition, it will operate more flights to Brussels, Dublin and Milan, adding another 1.4 million customers at year to its services.

The base will become operational by the end of October.

Ryanair shares were down 1.0% to EUR13.28 on Tuesday.
