(Alliance News) - Ryanair Holdings PLC on Wednesday said passenger volumes in December were up compared to the year before, but were the second-lowest monthly total this year since July.
The Dublin-based low-cost airline said it operated 62,200 flights in December.
The passenger volume for these flights amounted to 9.5 million, multiplied from the 1.9 million passengers it carried in December 2020.
Ryanair also said that the load factor increased to 81% in December, up from 73% a year before.
Nonetheless, the passenger total in December was still the lowest since July, when Ryanair carried 9.3 million passengers, with an average load factor of 80%. In November, Ryanair carried 10.2 million passengers.
Shares in Ryanair were up 0.6% at EUR16.58 each on Wednesday morning in Dublin.
