LONDON (Alliance News) - Ryanair Holdings PLC Tuesday said it has opened three new Rome domestic routes and allocated six aircraft to Rome Fiumicino base.
Europe's largest low-cost carrier said it has responded to numerous requests from southern Italian airports by allocating six aircraft to a new base in Rome Fiumicino Airport.
The company said that from the base it would launch three new Southern Italy domestic routes with multiple daily flights to Catania, Palermo and Lamezia, commencing on December 18.
Ryanair also said that the six aircraft will also offer daily business flights to Brussels and Barcelona.
The company said that it now offers nine domestic routes in Italy and over the next twelve months it will move many of these routes from Ciampino to Fiumicino, which will now be its main airport for domestic services in Rome.
Ryanair shares were up 1.9% to 5.94 pence Tuesday.
