(Alliance News) - Ryanair Holdings PLC on Wednesday said it carried more passengers in October than in pre-pandemic October 2019.
The Dublin-based budget airline posted a 38% rise in passengers to 15.7 million last month from 11.4 million in October last year. Compared to pre-pandemic October 2019, passenger numbers rose 14% from 13.8 million.
Load factor in October improved to 94% from 84% a year before.
On a rolling 12-month basis, passenger numbers nearly tripled to 157.4 million from a year ago and load factor was 12% higher. Compared to October 2019, rolling annual passenger numbers rose 4.2% from 151.0 million.
Ryanair shares were down 1.6% to EUR12.11 on Wednesday afternoon on the Deutsche Borse Xetra exchange.
