Kratochvil will be also a member of RWS's Remuneration Committee.
The intellectual property support services firm acquired globalisation services provider Moravia in October last year. Kratochvil joined Moravia in 1996 as managing director and was appointed as CEO in 2010.
In January, the company said that it appointed Paul Danter, formerly a divisional executive, as CEO of Moravia. RWS Holdings said that Danter has over 17 years experience in software sales, marketing and production management. He has been with Moravia since 2016.
RWS Chairman Andrew Brode said: "I am delighted to welcome Tomas onto the group board. He has over two decades of experience with Moravia and his deep knowledge of the global localisation market will be extremely valuable to the Board, as will his knowledge and experience of driving organic growth in the technology sector as we continue to expand our global presence and range of services."
